Description Facebook's People Compliance team is looking for a Data Privacy Analyst to help drive the evolution of our data steward/custodian processes and operations. This role will report into the People Data Privacy Manager and work cross-functionally on tactical and strategic solutions for data governance, integrity, and management. They will enforce privacy policy and processes around HR data management across business groups. A successful candidate will have substantive experience working on and driving solutions around data management, HR data privacy and/or compliance related issues, with strong analytical and operational background as well as interpersonal and project-management skills.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Research and identify data management tools, with access restrictions and retention in mind

  • Create and implement global processes for HR related data management

  • Develop and document guidelines, processes, taxonomy and data standardization conventions, while continuously ensuring privacy principles are met

  • Collect and monitor relevant data in an accurate and timely manner while ensuring access controls

  • Process change requests based on business needs and respond to internal client requests for data

  • Design custom queries and generate exports based on approved research needs

  • Identify and analyze data exceptions while proposing a path to resolve issues, in partnership with People Data Privacy, Legal, and Product teams

  • Conduct data quality audits and compile discrepancies for review

  • Enforce data standards to ensure privacy principles

  • Facilitate crowdsourcing, schedule meetings and implement surveys, while ensuring confidentiality

  • Ensure ongoing compliance with data privacy principles, standards and operational procedures

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • 4+ years experience in data-focused role in relevant field, such as HR, legal or privacy

  • Experience working in various areas of responsibility, as well as in a team environment

  • Organizational and solution-orientated experience

  • Experience in multi-tasking

  • Experience managing and adapting to tight deadlines

  • Experience working across and influencing various levels of the organization, while building trust and fostering collaboration

  • Experience of exercising independent judgment and employ basic reasoning and problem solving experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • B.A. or B.S. degree in areas such as Business, HR, or equivalent experience

  • Experience in working in a matrix team environment

  • Experience thinking creatively and “out-of-the-box”

  • Knowledge of MS Excel skills including, but not limited to: VLOOKUP, pivot tables, macros, forms, surveys

  • Experience in high-tech environment with an HR and/or Compliance focus
