Facebook’s Specialized SWE Recruiting Team drives global hiring of professionals across Augmented/Virtual Reality and Artificial Intelligence for product teams such as Oculus, Spark AR, Portal, Horizon and Facebook more broadly. The goal of this team is to create and ship new, category-defining consumer hardware and software products that are immersive, social, and define our consumer’s daily experiences.
As a Sourcer on our Specialized SWE Recruiting Team, you will be responsible for defining and executing the talent acquisition strategy for a variety of software engineer roles. Your work will be instrumental in our ability to scale our business, working towards our mission to give people the power to build community and bring the world closer together.
TECHNICAL SOURCER, SPECIALIZED SWE (AR/VR/AI) RESPONSIBILITIES
Help to define, design and implement recruiting efforts and search engagements for a variety of technical roles, including understanding & mapping the talent landscape, managing referrals, and matching those data points with the external talent supply
Partner with hiring managers & recruiters to develop detailed profiles of target candidates with data-driven advice on the range of logical possibilities
Skillfully support weighing the anticipated and immediate challenges of the targeted role, company/group strategic objectives, and corresponding opportunities to productively explore more diverse perspectives and tradeoffs
Foster trust-based relationships with candidates, gaining a close understanding of their requirements and concerns
Support and prioritize an exemplary candidate experience at every stage of the process
Strategize different ways to build talent pipelines and execute on tactical research, referral generation, events and sourcing campaigns
Screen resumes and assess candidates to determine appropriate next steps
Regularly track pipeline activity to share with internal stakeholders
Proactively recommend and drive process improvements that impact candidate identification and engagement
Capture and maintain accurate market, client and candidate information on our knowledge management systems so as to both facilitate the search process and our overarching Market Intelligence initiatives
Leverage search and problem-solving expertise on a variety of Facebook Global Recruiting initiatives
Become a contributing member of the team that effectively embodies and promotes the culture and values of Facebook, and lead the team to do the same
4 or more years of experience with recruiting
2 or more years of experience with technical recruiting
Experience market mapping and engaging senior-level candidates
Experience partnering with hiring teams, recruiters and clients, including senior management
Experience developing talent market insights and data to influence leadership and cross-functional team decisions
Demonstrated track record of building working relationships with leaders and cross-functional partner
4+ years of experience in technical recruiting either in-house or agency, identifying and developing relationships with software engineering candidates
Knowledge, comfort and versatility working on complex or technical sourcing topics
Fearless and resilient, highly driven to be successful, an interest in technology and continuous learning
