Description Facebook is seeking a highly quantitative, driven, process/detail-oriented and creative Analyst, who will serve as a member of Facebook’s Contingent Workforce (CW) team. This position will have a day-to-day focus on providing analytical, strategic, and operational support for Facebook’s Contingent Workforce organization. This role will work cross-functionally with several organizations at Facebook (including Procurement, Human Resources, Finance, and Sourcing), with the primary objective of enabling leadership to make effective, analytically driven, and strategic operating decisions. The ideal candidate will be passionate about Facebook’s mission, have a background in a quantitative or technical field, have experience problem-solving using large data sets, and can communicate strategic recommendations with effective leadership. This position is located in our Austin, TX office.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Analyzes operations status by collecting, monitoring, and studying data, recommending actions.

  • Determine cost of operations by collecting operational data and partnering with Finance/Accounting.

  • Leverage multiple contingent worker data sources to create business insights through analysis and visualizations.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners to drive operational excellence within CW processes.

  • Guide planning processes by providing trends and forecasts, explaining processes and techniques to recommending actions.

  • Improve operating status by analyzing results, monitoring variances and identifying trends to recommending actions to management.

  • Increases productivity by developing automated operations applications and coordinating information requirements.

  • Maintain and create core reporting and analytics infrastructure and models while proactively surfacing opportunities.

  • Analyze current business performance and understand key drivers of the business.

  • Develop strong cross-functional partnerships across Facebook to drive team’s success.

  • Influence the direction of the business by effectively communicating results to the rest of the team and company leaders.

  • Create and monitor forecasts and benchmark performance internally and externally.

  • Provide deep analytic support and business context to identify and drive critical growth initiatives.

  • Perform root cause analyses to identify business strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and trends.

  • Support the CW team with annual planning, resourcing, and other operational asks, including assistance with process design.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Demonstrated problem solving experience with experience providing business insights and recommendations from data sets.

  • Experience in managing multiple concurrent projects and driving initiatives in a cross-functional environment.

  • Vendor compliance and management experience, holding them to SLAs and KPIs.

  • Demonstrated experience presenting technical content to non-technical audiences.

  • 5+ years of business experience in various organizations including Procurement, Human Resources, Finance, and Sourcing).

  • 2+ years of experience in contingent workforce.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • BA/BS in Business, Economics, Math, Statistics, Computer Science, Physics, or other quantitative fields.

  • MBA or graduate degree in an analytical field.

  • Experience reporting in Salesforce.

  • Experience using Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Tableau.

  • Experience exercising independent judgment in the application of company policies and practices to determine appropriate action or guidance.

  • Experience interacting and influencing all levels of an organization without direct authority.

  • Experience working independently on the day-to-day work.
