We are looking for an Operations and Strategy Manager to work at the intersection of operations strategy, consulting, and program management. The person in this role will lead the team that identifies and drives recruiting initiatives and process improvements across our recruiting function. This person will be part of the Global Product and Software Engineering (GPS) recruiting organization. The ideal candidate has experience in strategic planning, operations, and management consulting. The Operations and Strategy Manager is a leader and self-starter who proactively identifies and solve problems and continuously seeks ways to improve the organization. The singular goal for the person in this role will be to design and lead the execution of strategies that increase the efficiency of our global recruiting teams. The person in this role will partner with leadership and integrate the capabilities of our cross functional partners into the day-to-day operations of the GPS organization. This role sits squarely within a fast-paced, dynamic environment that continually presents opportunities to produce solutions for a wide variety of interesting and often complex challenges.


  • Support and evolve the operations function to maximize for impact and return on investment, applying strategic rigor and oversight as well as adopting a structured approach to prioritization

  • Drive process improvements: Work with recruiting leadership and management, the Recruiting Insights team, and other teams to optimize and execute our recruiting strategies and process improvements

  • Manage a team of program and project managers to drive execution, as well as driving change through cross functional partners with no reporting lines

  • Develop strategic planning templates to achieve the desired business outcomes, providing a centralized view across the recruiting teams

  • Collect and analyze data, information, and research through quantitative and qualitative mechanisms to make decisions and recommendations on critical strategic issues

  • Lead and manage large-scale, organization-wide projects through planning, development, launch, stabilization and close

  • Manage multiple concurrent projects and/or projects with multiple work streams that require inputs from cross-functional stakeholders

  • Manage and escalate organizational risks and issues as appropriate, and establish success metrics, and ensure performance is tracked and measured

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders inside and outside of GPS

  • Assist with escalated issues on priorities, goals, strategies, resources and key initiatives

  • Design communications and change management drives that scale across hundreds of team members

  • Advise recruiting leaders on approaches to effectively communicate priorities to our business leaders


  • 8+ years of strategic planning, operations, or management consulting experience

  • 3+ years of project management experience

  • Experience with business process management, workflow, and life cycle management

  • Experience translating business challenges and questions into solutions

  • Proven strategic, analytical and problem solving skills

  • Experience working cross functionally and holding people accountable for deliverables without a formal reporting structure

  • Experience working independently with minimum supervision and leading multiple projects simultaneously involving various groups/locations/vendors

  • Cross-functional communication and interpersonal skills

  • Proficiency with MS Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio or other process mapping software) to create advanced an polished analyses

  • BA/BS degree


  • Masters degree or MBA

  • Experience working in a high tech environment

  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment and deal with ambiguity
