Description The Location Strategy team in Facebook’s People Analytics and Workforce Strategy (PAWS) organization partners cross-functionally to guide, inform, and execute housing, commute, and company location strategy projects. You will drive and manage projects that allow Facebook to address housing and commute needs of employees in a way that benefits the company and local communities in tandem, and to grow Facebook's global footprint in a way that best positions it to attract and retain the world’s best talent.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support the cross-functional and location strategy teams in executing housing and transportation investments and policy initiatives alongside the company location strategy with a focus on California

  • Build a close partnership with internal cross-functional partners to evaluate housing, transportation, and land use strategies to improve livability for Facebook employees and local communities and to support campus expansion initiatives that align with the company location strategy

  • Partner cross-functionally with other parts of the People team, policy, facilities, finance, marketing, communications, and legal teams to evaluate housing and transportation strategies from all perspectives including attracting and retaining employees, enabling corporate growth in high cost locations, and company brand sentiment

  • Project management - team with outside consultants and partners, facilities, and policy to implement housing and commute programs that benefit Facebook and local communities together

  • Partner cross-functionally with facilities teams, legal, policy, communications, HRBPs and business leaders to collect key data and insights

  • Prepare briefings on housing and transportation policy, investments, and programs for internal and external audiences comprised of peer employers, policy makers, community advocates, and philanthropic partners

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • 10+ years of experience in urban planning, transportation, urban economics, finance or related fields (either in-house or with consulting firms)

  • Experience managing & driving cross-functional projects from beginning to end

  • Experience building relationships cross-functionally and driving a team of viewpoints towards an outcome

  • Communication experience and experience presenting to senior management level audiences

  • Experience working with data and analysis

  • Experience writing land use policy

  • Experience in analyzing financial investments with transportation, housing, or real estate

  • Experience exercising judgment and discretion while working with all levels of company leadership and with cross sector external partners from government, philanthropy, community, and employers

  • Experience engaging external partners to understand nuances and challenges in housing, commute, and location solutions

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master’s degree
