Facebook is seeking a Global Mobility (GloMo) Tax Consultant who partners cross functionally to support the execution of our tax services program for mobile employees. Primary areas of focus will include, but are not limited to, mobile employee tax, compensation/payroll as related to mobile employees, equity tax compliance, global administration and employee inquiries. The preferred candidate will have previous experience in administering in-house mobility tax programs, along with experience in expatriate income tax preparation, tax equalization administration, global expatriate tax & social security payroll compliance, and broad-based mobility tax program administration experience. This is a full-time position and will be based in our Los Angeles, CA offices.


  • Manage day-to-day interactions with employees, vendors and internal stakeholders globally to ensure a smooth experience for all stakeholders

  • Respond to queries from employees related to our tax programs for international & domestic transferees, international assignees and international & domestic business travelers

  • Partner with equity programs, corporate tax, finance, payroll and legal to manage the cross-functional administration of mobility tax

  • Support the tax programs experience vision and ensure that the tax services vendor delivers on the employee experience

  • Review and approve certain tax filings, tax payments and payroll tax files for processing

  • Collaborate with People Services to grow shared services resources that assist employees and managers with tax, payroll and equity transaction questions

  • including providing training, process documentation and technical support for employee inquiry resolution

  • Ability to identify process improvements/enhancements and execute on scalability of approach

  • Additional opportunities will be both self-identified and assigned by functional leaders, always in alignment with team and company goals

  • Domestic and international travel if needed (tentatively up to 5 - 10% of time)


  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related fields

  • 5+ years of global mobility tax experience

  • Demonstrated depth of experience in mobility tax, global compensation reporting, mobility payroll processes, including systems, vendors, in-house processes and related operations

  • Demonstrated attention to detail and focus on accuracy

  • Experience owning highly confidential situations and data that requires 100% data privacy and security

  • Demonstrated customer service skills and proven experience performing in fast-paced environment

  • Experience working independently and require little instruction on the day-to-day work

  • Experience working and thriving in a team environment to achieve goals


  • Experience in both in-house corporate tax programs and consulting/accounting firms

  • Experience developing methods to automate manual processes

  • Advanced computer skills including mastery of MS Office applications, especially MS Excel

  • Self-starter and fast learner with experience in process improvement
