Facebook is seeking a Business Lead to assist with content preparation, communications, synthesizing data and project managing cross-functional work for our VP, HR. This person will act as a chief of staff and will manage preparation for internal/external events and meetings, assist with internal communications, and contribute to strategic initiatives across the company, including managing the top priorities for the VP, HR. This is a full-time position based in Menlo Park.

Business Lead - People Team Responsibilities

  • Work with Facebook colleagues to prepare background for meetings with key partners (e.g., identify goals, prepare slides/background material/pre-reads, draft talking points when necessary, provide background on attendees when appropriate)

  • Prepare briefing material for external events

  • Synthesize background material into executive summaries with key business and communication insights

  • Stay up-to-date with trends in business, technology, and HR including knowledge of current/potential Facebook stakeholders

  • Interface and consult regularly with cross-functional groups

  • Build presentations for internal presentations (e.g. team all-hands)

  • Maintain documentation to support internal coordination

  • Accelerate work on emergent priorities as necessary

  • Exercise absolute confidentiality and discretion at all times

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5+ years’ work experience in consulting, research/analysis, or internal strategy

  • Experience drafting communications

  • Communication skills, including listening, observing and empathizing

  • Fluency working with data and analytical reports

  • Experience building presentations in PowerPoint and/or Keynote and compile briefing materials

  • Experience juggling tasks and work extra hours as needed

  • Experience shifting priorities and acting proactively, while maintaining organization and control

  • Experience leading cross-functional projects

  • Project management and decision-making skills

  • Experience working with people at all levels both inside and outside of Facebook

  • Proven track record handling highly confidential information

Preferred Qualifications

  • Masters, Industrial and/or Organizational Psychology
