The Mission Control team is a group of people at Facebook responsible for workforce planning and resource allocations for the technical and product teams. We are looking for a program manager (PM) to lead key initiatives that cut across how we serve the technology organization. You will serve as a central PM responsible for understanding how our entire team operates so you can work cross-functionally on complex and highly impactful projects, such as the annual headcount planning process overall. Project management expertise is a must and experience specific to headcount planning and with recruiting, HR, and finance is a plus.
This is a full-time position based in our main office in Menlo Park, CA.
WORKFORCE PLANNING CENTRAL PROGRAM MANAGER, MISSION CONTROL RESPONSIBILITIES
Understand Mission Control Planning processes by role/pillar in order to execute programs which address the needs of all of FB tech
Develop program charters including scope, timelines, deliverables, roles and responsibilities and align with cross-functional partners
Drive multiple complex programs simultaneously including stakeholder meetings, project plan/action tracking, and status communications
Facilitate end-to-end change management including development of impact assessments and mitigation strategies
Establish high quality measurement and tracking, including long term monitoring plans
Deliver leadership presentations on program progress
Understand tooling needs and partner with internal tools teams to design and later roll out features
Communicate updates to key, cross-functional stakeholder groups and support the development and execution of roadshows to educate the business on processes and systems
Drive key projects geared towards continuous process improvement, stakeholder education and accountability and team branding/communications
B.S. or B.A., or equivalent project/program management experience
5+ years experience managing complex, cross-functional programs
Knowledge of end-to-end workforce planning concepts including headcount planning and allocation management
Experience working in a fast-paced environment
Advanced organization skills
Analytical skills, problem-solving skills and experience interpreting forecasts
Intermediate Excel skills
PMP or other accredited project management certification
3+ years workforce planning experience including headcount planning and position management
Experience with finance and recruiting processes
Experience working with highly technical management teams
Experience with complex data/analytics models and tools (e.g., Tableau)
