Description Facebook infrastructure is rapidly growing into a complex sourcing engine deploying products and services around the globe to power our data centers, network and compute gear, and initiatives. A central part of that growth has been our evolution from standard off-the-shelf infrastructure to custom designed, manufactured and supported infrastructure and Facebook’s overall mission to make the world more open and connected. The Sourcing and Operations Engineering (SOE) organization is responsible for all commercial and engineering responsibilities when it comes to building and operating Facebook infrastructure. The Business Ops objective is to figure out how to successfully scale the business.
Facebook is seeking an experienced Business Ops Manager who will partner with the business leaders to help drive performance across the business. As part of the Supply Chain Solutions’ team, this person will operate across the full spectrum of business operations needs including strategic and financial planning, performance management, and decision making. This is a particularly good fit for someone who has an orientation towards action, analytical rigor, and autonomy.


  • Strategic and Financial Planning: Lead cross-functional planning cycles linking our strategy to operating and financial metrics. Determine appropriate investment levels (i.e. headcount, etc.) for the business

  • Performance Management: Own operating and financial model. Lead operating reviews including Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs). Establish business goals and define KPI

  • Collaboration and Partnership: Work with the team and various cross-functional groups to enable other stakeholders to succeed

  • Resource Management: Generate resource allocation and team optimization plans and strategies for effective service delivery

  • Roadmaps: Manage expectations of interested parties: define clear roadmaps with key deliverables and milestone dates, provide frequent program updates, and identify and communicate risks and adjustments to the overall program

  • Risk Management: Identify areas of risk and drive mitigation with subject matter experts within the organization

  • Connective Tissue: Proactively engage as a liaison between SOE, Infrastructure and partner organizations

  • Collaborating with different individuals across the organization, within other geographies "roll-up sleeves" in order to accomplish all necessary tasks


  • BS or MS in business-related or technical field

  • 10+ years of work experience in program management with a demonstrated track record of delivering business value

  • Experience aligning business requirements and translating into implementation plans with internal and external customers

  • Analytical, problem-solving, negotiation, and organizational experience

  • Demonstrated track record of delivering on the above responsibilities

  • Experience in sharing business narratives with executives


  • Hands-on business operations experience

  • Experience identifying operational pain points and opportunities to improve business practices to innovate on business processes and define ways to improve their efficiency and effectiveness

  • Experience developing and managing end-to-end project plans to ensure on-time delivery during analysis, design, development, testing, implementation, and post implementation phases
