Facebook is seeking a Global Mobility Partner, LATAM, to drive the Global Mobility programs in the region. The Facebook Global Mobility (“GloMo”) function operates as a global center of excellence and encompasses all relocation, immigration and mobility tax worldwide. The team is comprised of global competency teams in immigration, relocation, and mobility tax. Dependent on the competency area, program, and regional or other business parameters, team members may work on individual competencies, single programs within a competency, or across programs and competencies. For our Global Mobility Partner, LATAM, we are looking for someone that will contribute across multiple competencies and programs in region, in collaboration with all our competency teams and overseen by one of our Americas region program managers. This role will be responsible for all aspects of Global Mobility in LATAM and is based in our Sao Paulo, Brazil office. The person in this role will make an impact in managing the work across the competency areas (relocation, tax and immigration) in the LATAM region, achieving the GloMo goals of operational excellence, premium experience, and successful cross-functional partnerships in the region. You will play at all levels, both partnering with key regional leaders and teams as well as addressing day-to-day employee and stakeholder queries, external partner queries, handling escalations, exceptions, technology, and continuous process improvements. The responsibilities of this position include a wide variety of duties requiring strict attention to detail, exceptional communication skills, ability to think strategically and lead complex discussions and initiatives. You will drive the Global Mobility agenda in the region, in partnership with global competency leads and program managers, and have opportunities to collaborate on global projects and work closely on international initiatives with counterparts in NORAM, APAC and EMEA regions.
GLOBAL MOBILITY PARTNER, LATAM RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead global mobility success within the LATAM region across all programs and deliver our premium, integrated mobility experience for all Facebook people
Work with our outsourced mobility partners across the region to ensure a seamless experience for our employees ?relocating as new hires, internal transfers, interns, extended business travel, temporary assignments and immigration-only or tax-only cases
Respond to queries within a tiered support model, provide consultations with our employees, XFN teams and partner with the Global Mobility program managers to escalate and resolve cases, often including senior level, high visibility and sensitive situations
Provide assistance with international assignment nuances, managing external providers and serving as primary internal point of contact when extra hand holding is needed to keep assignment planning on track
Assess current operational tiered support model in the region while initially executing day to day operations, then create and execute plan to transition repeatable, per-policy or per-process work to regional people services team
Identify key relocation policy changes, in line with local market practice and Facebook global philosophies and partner with global relocation and housing leader to implement
Ensure comprehensive immigration advice is provided timely and accurately to recruiters, managers and other key internal stakeholders, escalating as necessary to global immigration program owner
Deliver local and regional global mobility training programs to recruiting, HRBPs, business managers and other stakeholders as needed
Work closely with the competency leaders and program managers to improve programs, policies, and processes, including requirements for new and emerging markets
Proactively identify and communicate business issues along with proposed solutions
Contribute global mobility specific content to People Portal or other knowledge management initiatives
Partner cross-functionally to support improvements to the internal transfer process, identifying improvements specific to LATAM global mobility nuances
5+ years’ progressive experience in Global Mobility, including mobility tax, immigration and relocation
Previous experience working on LATAM inbound and LATAM intra-region mobility
Strong vendor management skills with a focus on accountability and building relationships
A sense of urgency, detail oriented and aptitude to follow through including making and communicating difficult decisions
Strong communication skills and ability to lead collaboration with other teams and all levels of employees
Demonstrated organization, problem-solving, prioritization, and customer service skills?
Ability to identify data integrity issues and the impact to the other areas (i.e., payroll, benefits, employment law, compensation, etc.), then take accountability to resolve with partners
Ability to work independently, within a matrix of regional and global team members, with minimum supervision and lead multiple projects simultaneously across internal and external stakeholders
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage ambiguity
Fluent in English
Ability to travel internationally up to 15% of time as needed
BA/BS degree preferred
Previous consulting or professional services firm, tax firm, or immigration firm experience
Project management and process improvement background
Ability to think through end-to-end solutions to improve the processes and plan around systematic blind spots
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel data analysis and manipulation, including pivot tables, Vlookup, and chart creation
Global Mobility or related credential(s) e.g., GMS, CPA, CRP, GPHR, etc.
Experience automating manual mobility transactions and tasks
