Facebook is seeking a transformative leader to drive the strategic direction of our internal mobility program in support of our broader people and business goals during rapid, global growth. This new role will be critical to championing the experience our people have through the process, from finding roles, to the application and through to offer. They will also work in close partnership with our business leaders, HRBPs, People Growth/Careers, Global Mobility, Learning & Development, and other teams to continually transform our workforce. The Director, Internal Mobility will be an inclusive, experienced recruiting leader who can lead the design and execution of a thoughtful and measured approach to the future of internal mobility at Facebook. They will provide centralized leadership while driving operational excellence, process improvement, tooling, planning, people experience, and ensuring the function has all the resources needed to grow and scale with the company. They will inspire their team, prioritize investments, and leverage partners throughout the company to drive impact for the function.

Director, Internal Mobility Responsibilities

  • Evolve and govern Facebook’s long-term internal mobility strategy and functional team.

  • Develop and implement operating model improvements sustaining a leading-edge inclusive program with focus on impact.

  • Drive global program expansion by developing and streamlining standard processes.

  • Partner closely with a highly cross-functional team of leaders in support of overall people movement.

  • Drive key projects with our People Analytics team ensuring metrics and insights are available to drive functional alignment against the company goals.

  • Coach and support HRBPs, managers, and organizational leaders as they scale through increased internal mobility.

  • Provide strategic partnership to all parts of the business and other people team leaders to contribute to talent planning.

  • Identify, then acquire or develop the necessary systems, tools, and processes, and continually evolve them to scale.

  • Design and deliver targeted solutions, including strategic planning, change management and team building.

  • Develop solutions that support holistic, company-wide decision making that can be operationalized by region or business line if needed.

  • Provide expertise in development and execution, planning, and facilitation of functional people planning, employee relations efforts and overall org health.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 15+ years of Recruiting, HR or other progressive talent related experience

  • Experience understanding strategic organizational issues and influencing change

  • Understanding of internal mobility workflow and driving continuous improvement

  • Experience cultivating cross-functional relationships globally to help global organizations scale

  • Experience with strategy development, program design/management, and change management

  • Significant inclusive people management experience, a manager of managers that executes through others

  • Experience measuring program impact against success metrics, and proven experience employing data-driven, transparent decision making

  • Entrepreneurial spirit with understanding of how to use data and calculated risk-taking to drive innovative change

  • Demonstrated experience thriving in a fast-paced, ambiguous, deadline-oriented work environment

  • Experience dealing with ambiguity, navigating through uncertain situations and quickly adapting to change

Preferred Qualifications

  • International project management or business improvement experience within HR/Recruiting

  • Experience with internal mobility, empathizing with those changing roles internally

  • Experience working in or with Global Mobility (relocation, immigration, tax) aspects of internal mobility
