The People Analytics and Workforce Strategy team at Facebook uses data to understand how to hire top talent, to ensure our people are engaged, and to predict our future people needs and strategies.

We are currently seeking a Director of Location Strategy. This newly created role will lead a team of deeply expert professionals and report to the VP, People Analytics and Workforce Strategy. The location strategy team analyses current and future company locations around the globe, develops tools and processes to support location decisions, and leads the social mobility work focused on critical issues such as housing in key markets.


  • Help to build and evolve our overall location strategy

  • Deliver timely, accurate and relevant location analyses

  • Partner with Finance, Facilities, Business HR, Recruiting and Mission Control to evolve and up level our overall enterprise headcount planning process

  • Reset and manage the overall site governance model

  • Deliver tools to scale location analyses

  • Deliver site heath assessments

  • Steward housing programs including missing middle, State partnerships and housing@

  • Ensure consistent and productive cross-functional partnerships in support of housing initiatives

  • Deliver tools and analyses

  • Manage a team of 6 diverse professionals


  • 12+ years experience in location strategy

  • Experience influencing technical and non-technical audiences across all levels of an organization

  • Coaching and people development experience

  • Interpersonal and collaboration experience

  • Experience with data architectures, data visualizations, and data structures


  • 3+ years experience working internally (as opposed to consulting) in a medium to large organization (e.g., high-tech, financial services, healthcare, biotech, etc.)

  • Stakeholder management experience

  • Openness to feedback and strong self-awareness

  • Exceptional discretion and judgment
