People Compliance Advisor Lead

The People Compliance and Data Privacy (PCDP) Business Advisor team will play a critical role in assessing stakeholder and partner requests for alignment with global employment compliance requirements, Data Privacy standards and company/HR best practices. In this role, the People Compliance Advisor Lead will lead the work and strategy for partnering directly with HR Engineering, Business/Program, Legal and Policy partners through an interactive process to assess and mitigate risk, offer solutions and ensure required documentation is in place. You will join a global, fast-paced, and collaborative PCDP leadership team that values engagement, initiative, and teamwork.


  • Liaise with internal subject matter experts (SMEs) and Legal partners (e.g. Labor and Employment, Privacy) to understand and track existing and emerging legal and regulatory requirements around the world

  • Consult with Business/Program SMEs to translate requirements for technology and process development that meet compliance standards

  • Serve as a trusted advisor on new HR program, process, data collection/use and technology initiatives to ensure compliance requirements are built into the foundation

  • Build strong relationships with key business partners to enhance the integration of compliance requirements into their processes

  • Partner with leaders across HR to influence embedding of compliance considerations at development stage

  • Develop and champion audit and review process and cadence as well as metrics and present quarterly business reviews

  • Clearly communicate technical or specialized HR compliance and data privacy concepts to partners and stakeholders

  • Increase awareness and alignment by embedding education/training/guidance in review and partnership opportunities

  • Align partner strategies/objectives with PCDP roadmap to better enable the business and help drive new compliance solutions

  • Manage and develop a small geographically dispersed Advisor team


  • 6+ years experience in Human Resources (HR Business Partner, HR Program/Project Manager, Employee Relations or HR Operations)

  • 4+ years experience with HR Compliance, Data Privacy, or Paralegal related role(s)

  • Experience performing compliance gap assessments and recommending appropriate adjustments to close any gaps, working closely with program/product owners

  • Demonstrated experience building trust and influencing across technical and non-technical stakeholders at all levels

  • Experience with problem solving, including issue spotting, analyzing data/information and presenting conclusions effectively

  • Experience communicating complex requirements and results effectively, in the business language most relevant to the stakeholder and issue at hand, at all levels

  • Experience navigating the unique complexities of a fast paced and innovative environment, including prioritizing through ambiguity

  • Possess people management and leadership development skills

  • Demonstrated experience leveraging PC skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) to manage data and communicate insights, project updates etc.


  • Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field

  • Specific experience with navigating Data Privacy, EEO, Affirmative Action and/or Work Authorization related regulatory requirements

  • Cross-functional knowledge of HR operations for a global company

  • Knowledge of best practice risk and compliance frameworks and methods

  • Experience managing remote teams
