We are looking for a Director of Recruiting to oversee the global product generalist and systems generalist engineering pipelines. These two pipelines bring in majority of the leadership engineering talent we hire into bootcamp and makeup the largest % (volume) of SWE industry hiring at Facebook. As the Global Recruiting Director, Product Engineering & Systems Generalist Engineering, you will conceptualize, drive, and execute the vision and strategies supporting our largest global software engineering industry function. You will lead and scale a distributed team of recruiting professionals which spans across multiple locations (MPK, FRE, SF, SUN, ATX & CHI), as well as partner with global counter parts, cross functional partners & diversity channels to drive operational excellence and unparalleled results spanning multiple global regions. This role will require an individual who can apply operational and strategic depth at scale, as well as drive results leveraging data and driving accountability. They will know how to manage, mentor, and guide a team of managers, as well as course correct recruiters and/or sourcers through the entire recruiting life cycle while also working closely with our engineering and business leaders to drive world class recruiting practices and strategy.
GLOBAL RECRUITING DIRECTOR, PRODUCT ENGINEERING & SYSTEMS GENERALIST ENGINEERING RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead the recruiting strategy and execution for all areas of the engineering business ensuring alignment to the hiring goal
Stay on top of new trends in the industry and marketplace and maintain up-to-date knowledge of recruiting issues and trends
Be an evangelist for and lead the implementation of innovative global and regional recruiting programs and approaches around creating an amazing candidate experience, interviewer training, diversity hiring, efficient and effective interviewing process, creative sourcing strategies and more
Set vision and inspire the global recruiting team to achieve great results
Provide mentorship, guidance and career development to members of your team
Provide innovative, scalable solutions to drive our hiring to meet FB business objectives
Partner with Facebook executives to develop and execute on a hiring plan
Lead by example through following, setting or sharing recruiting best practices
Compile, analyze and capture insights from data to support business decisions
Experience communicating and working with distributed and cross-functional teams
10+ years of recruiting experience
4+ years experience managing a team of managers, recruiters and sourcers
Experience managing organizations of 30+ reports
