Facebook is seeking a Compensation Manager for their Global Compensation Organization with strong Thought Leadership and Plan Management experience to oversee the Strategy and Execution of their Pay for Performance Program. This full-time position is in either our Menlo Park, CA or Austin, TX office.

Compensation Manager - Performance Summary Cycle Responsibilities

  • Lead the Planning and Execution of Global Compensation Pay for Performance Programs with Operational Excellence to ensure the flawless execution of The Company’s complex programs: Merit Base Pay, Semi-Annual Bonus and Custom Programs for Special Populations

  • Develop a Long-Term Strategy for the Compensation Program, specifically the execution of the Performance Summary Cycle, building upon existing programs to maximize the return on investment of new initiatives to deliver a world class user experience

  • Partner with Engineering and Cross-Functional Teams to develop a roadmap to implement processes and tools to support the Company’s accelerated growth plan

  • Leverage Industry experience to bring thought leadership and strategic program design to the Compensation Cycle, bringing about transformational changes to the business in terms of changes to overall methodologies, processes, systems and tools resulting in improvements to the delivery of our global programs

  • Partner with the Program Design Manager in the evaluation of all Compensation Programs: Merit and Bonus, as well as streamline our sub-programs, supporting the change to Program Design ensuring global alignment and seamless execution

  • Partner with Business Systems Manager and Engineering Teams to ensure support of Pay for Performance Tools, collaborate on the evaluation of current Compensation programs that may place undue stress on business systems, understanding the impact to business systems of potential changes

  • Leverage People Management skills, to lead a team in the execution of the performance cycle, ensure clear role sorts, development plans and cross-training to maximize impact to the business

  • Develop an in-depth knowledge of all Company Pay for Performance Programs, become a Subject Matter Expert on eligibility requirements and apply this knowledge to practical situations

  • Manage the evaluation of the existing programs to ensure they are aligned with the Company’s overall direction and that they are designed to scale with the Company’s growth

  • Drive a culture of Quality Assurance

  • initiate a series of programs and policies to protect and improve the quality of compensation data, review current practices and policies to identify potential compliance risks and manage the implementation of policy and practice changes, cataloging all decisions

  • Work with Compensation Stakeholders to gather input and gain alignment on program changes on a global scale, taking into consideration local legal requirements and restrictions

  • Drive innovation on compensation products to maximize the return on investment and deliver a world class user experience

  • Build productive partnerships with Compensation Leaders, Engineering, Communications, Performance Management and Payroll teams as well as other cross-functional stakeholders to ensure alignment on initiatives

Minimum Qualifications

  • BS/BA in Economics, Finance, Engineering, Computer Science or related discipline

  • 8+ years of industry experience in Human Resources, Business Administration, or System Administration

  • 4+ years of People Management experience

  • Program management experience with a focus on drive and execution

  • Experience with decision-making and working in an environment with competing demands

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with complex Compensation Programs in a growing organization

  • Experience adjusting to rapidly changing business requirements and experience making decisions with limited information

  • Prioritization experience

  • Experience leading cross-functional global projects and managing multiple complex projects simultaneously
