Facebook is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Program Manager within the University Recruiting space to help us grow and scale our diversity efforts at target campuses as part of our Computer Science Education team, which aims is to eliminate under representation in tech by driving innovations to computer science curricula. In this role, you will work closely with internal team members (and cross-functional stakeholders (engineering, recruiting, programs, communications, and Facebook resources groups) to execute recruiting programs from vision to execution. In addition, you will independently lead special projects to ensure best in class student experience, standardized processes across program sites, data integrity, and program brand. The ideal candidate is self-driven, exhibits patience, teamwork, and optimism, and can navigate ambiguity in a calm, mature manner.

UNIVERSITY PROGRAM MANAGER, DIVERSITY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage design, logistics and execution of regional diversity programs at all North America sites, including partnering with Recruiters to recruit and select eligible candidates for these programs. Design and lead learning and development to onboard engineers to facilitate regional diversity programs.

  • Collect data to measure program health and report key findings to stakeholders across the business, including recruiting, diversity, and partnerships.

  • Lead from vision to execution resources for candidate preparation, as well as a menu of student development opportunities to find and cultivate the talent of students underrepresented in computer science.

  • Source and manage relationships with key external organizations and groups to cultivate a comprehensive bank of summer internship and full-time opportunities for participants of Facebook CS Education Initiatives.

  • Create project plans and timelines to ensure the programs are delivered smoothly, on a day to day basis and within budget.

  • Proactively build relationships and investment from recruiting and engineering communities to support projected growth of CS education initiatives.

  • Willingness to work flexible hours as needed.

  • Ability to travel as required by role (25%+).

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2+ years of experience in project management, program management or events management experience.

  • 1+ years of work experience in supporting diversity initiatives.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • BA or BS degree.

  • Experience increasing diversity in tech and strong understanding of the views, values, and perspectives of diverse communities.

  • Experience growing positive, customer-service oriented working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, including internal team members, cross-functional partners, students, school administrators, and/or vendors.

  • Highly motivated, flexible, proactive, and responsible. Is comfortable working in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.

  • Experience leading multiple time-sensitive, cross-functional initiatives with ease.

  • Attention to detail and experience prioritizing, multi-tasking, and follow-through with team members to achieve individual and group goals.
